Floral Express seeks a motivated and results-driven Program Development & Procurement Manager (Full-time, Permanent).

The position: 

The Program Development & Procurement Manager role supports Floral Express’ vision of being the leading floral wholesaler, driving innovation, delivering exceptional customer experience, fostering growth, and creating a vibrant, supportive workplace where every team member thrives by ensuring client satisfaction while growing sales.
This role is central to the execution of Floral Express’s bouquet strategy, with responsibility for developing and maintaining bouquet programs, managing pricing and inventory, and supporting both purchasing and business development. Acting as a bridge between the internal sales team, growers, and retail partners, the Program Development & Procurement candidate ensures streamlined operations, accurate planning for everyday and holiday programs, and ongoing program success. By managing critical administrative functions and supplier coordination, this role enables the sales team to focus on client relationship building. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while contributing to long-term growth through market insights and new business development.

What you will do:

1. Program Development & Execution (30%)
• Develop and maintain bouquet programs for both mass and independent markets, ensuring alignment with customer needs and seasonal trends.
• Plan and coordinate bouquet offerings at least 12 months in advance for major holidays.
• Track and manage UPC codes, pail/box count requirements, and packaging specifications.
• Ensure programs are properly documented, communicated internally, and updated regularly.

2. Purchasing & Inventory Management (40%)
• Liaise with growers to gather accurate pricing and availability for everyday and seasonal bouquet needs.
• Manage all bouquet purchase orders for mass and wholesale markets.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels for bouquet components, while protecting FX margin targets.
• Hold responsibility for the purchasing of all hard goods related to bouquet production – including but not limited to sleeves, vases, preserved rosed, dried flowers, Waterdale items and any other packaging or design related materials.
• Ensure smooth coordination with internal purchasing and logistics teams.
• Plant Purchasing both Wholesale & Mass Market

3. Sales (10%)
• Maintain internal tools, documentation, and systems related to bouquet programs and supplier coordination.
• Assist with reporting and analysis to track program performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Finders fee for onboarding new Mass Markets

4. Business Development & Market Research (20%)
• 1 day on the road either visiting stores for market research, business development or grower visits for plant purchasing
• Identify and help pursue new business opportunities in both the mass and independent floral markets.
• Support growth strategies by offering program recommendations based on market research and customer feedback.

The position:
The Financial Controller is a key member of the senior management team and a strategic business partner. This role oversees all accounting and information management functions, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the company’s financial reporting systems.

What you will do:

• Maintain robust accounting records; implement internal controls and budgeting processes; ensure compliance with GAAP; deliver timely, insightful management reporting.
• Direct accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Oversee payroll management, including salary/benefits/deductions compliance; collaborate with HR; reconcile payroll accounts; implement best practices for payroll reporting and controls.
• Recommend and implement improvements to financial reporting accuracy and effectiveness.

This position requires a strong understanding of perishable product life cycles and seasonal market trends, as well as exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. The Purchaser is responsible for managing supplier relationships, aligning purchases with sales forecasts and margin goals, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date pricing in accordance with market fluctuations. What you will do:

• Create and transmit purchase orders weekly with all local/international suppliers using Florisoft.
• Manage purchase requests from sales with growers through phone and email correspondence, ensuring product availability, shortages and substitutes.
• Administer and communicate all discrepancies, shortages and/or substitutes to the appropriate units, including but not limited to sales team members, DSM and other purchasers.
• Source product and communicate logistics for all last-minute orders by quick analytical judgment based on the level of commitment to the customers, determined by the sales account manager or DSM.
• Correspond all pickups for local product with the logistics administrator to ensure all logistics are arranged weekly.
• Correspond with local/international growers weekly to determine product availability prior to compiling the data into Florisoft and producing a price list for distribution.
• Conduct research and proper due diligence to source additional product from current or new suppliers according to company needs, understanding industry trends and communicating such with management and other company team members.
• Some travel to visit growers and other vendors of interest (current and new) to build strong, strategic relationships and stay current with offerings, new items, new procedures etc.
• Build and administer peak period holiday availability lists in advance to optimize sales managers’ ability to pre-book. Holidays include Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Source and communicate to SAM any special offerings from growers throughout the year, continually endeavouring to support the sales teams’ efforts to increase sales and margins.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to produce flyers for special items and or pre-book opportunities and flash sales.
• Manage and administer all product pricing in coloration with the weekly availability lists.
• Reflect/update pricing weekly according to market fluctuations, supply and demand, vigilantly corresponding with the DSM when applicable, in addition to best practices.
• Create in advance of all floral holidays, pricelists in correlation to the availability lists. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Floral Express is currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Production Associate on a full-time basis, working 30+ hours per week.

The position:
The Production Associate’s role is to meet and surpass customer expectations by delivering top-quality flowers
punctually. If you like being active and on the move, this position suits you. Our team values speed and
efficiency, following a “work smarter, not harder” approach. Working hours are generally during the day, but
you may need to work some evenings and Saturdays as required. Due to our fresh-cut flower business,
completion of tasks can extend beyond normal hours. This isn’t a typical 9-5 job; commitment to finishing daily
tasks is essential.

What you will do:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of our operations department, including, but not limited to:
  • Picking orders
  • Packing orders
  • Assisting with quality control
  • Shipping & receiving

The position: 

The position of the Sales Coordinator within Floral Express Wholesale is an important role that combines administrative expertise with a passion for sales and customer service.

Your mandate will be to provide skilled support for our sales operations, as we deliver exceptional products and service offerings to prospects and customers.

What you will do:

• The specific responsibilities of this position will include, but not necessarily be limited to:
• Administrative Support: Assist Sales/Account Managers in the creation and maintenance of sales documents, including price quotes, agreements (if/as necessary) and invoices. Manage correspondence, emails, and phone calls to address Sales/Account Management needs, customer inquiries and sales-related matters promptly.
• Order Processing: Coordinate the processing of floral and plant orders, including accurately inputting orders into our IM (Inventory Management) System, to understand, monitor and report on inventory levels, and help ensure timely delivery. Liaise with Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics (as required) to facilitate efficient order fulfillment.
• Customer Engagement: May be required to serve as a point of contact for customers, to provide updates on product availability and order status. Although the Sales/Account Manager will be the primary point of contact, you may be called upon to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Sales Assistance: Support the Sales/Account Management and Sales leadership team by preparing sales and marketing materials and presentations, and planning sales-related activities and events. You will also assist by identifying cross-selling or upselling opportunities to maximize sales revenue.
• Database Management: Maintain accurate records of customer information, sales transactions, and inventory levels in the IM and/or CRM system. Utilize data analytics tools to generate reports and insights that inform sales strategies and decision-making.
• Event Support: Assist in coordinating arrangements and logistics for special events, such as industry conferences, corporate functions, holiday schedules, etc. Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, event planners, customers, vendors and executive leadership to ensure the successful planning and execution of events.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on trends, developments, and innovations within the floral and plant industry. Provide input and ideas for product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to help capitalize on market opportunities.
