Our roots date back over 45 years, when the original floral, plants and greenhouse businesses were founded by Wim Overbeek, patriarch of the Overbeek family.

When Wim emigrated to Canada, from Holland (the “heart and soul” of the global floral industry) in 1971, not only did he bring his dreams, but also the natural-born drive and characteristics of Dutch culture, and his strong belief in the importance of faith, family, honesty, and hard work!

Of course, the Dutch are also known for their pragmatic approach to innovation, efficiency, problem-solving – and entrepreneurialism!

These combined qualities were passed down to Wim’s nine children, including his eldest son John, the President and driving force behind Floral Express Wholesale today.

With John at the helm, the Ontario-based company has continued to grow, streamline, and evolve to become a leading North American platform for the wholesale flower and plant industry.

As part of this evolution, he has focused on building a team of dedicated professionals with deep and broad business experience. Together, our mission is to set the pace as a leading, North American floral and plant wholesaler.

At Floral Express Wholesale, our flowers and plants come directly from our growers and are delivered fresh and quickly to your door.

We have partnered with some of the industry’s finest growers.

Great examples of Canadian-grown products include Lisianthus, Snapdragons, Lilies, Gerberas, Iris, Peonies – and more!

We also import beautiful, fresh floral and plant products from Ecuador, Colombia, Holland, the USA and more.
