Floral Express seeks a motivated and results-driven Production Team Lead for our Bouquet Department. This position is full-time, working 35+ hours per week.

The position:
As the Production Team Lead for our bouquet department, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the production floor to ensure the efficient processing, assembly, and packaging of floral products. You will provide instruction to a team of production bouquet staff, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual with strong organizational skills, experience in fast-paced environments, and a passion for fresh product quality.

What you will do:

• Provide day-to-day guidance for the bouquet production team:
  • Assign daily work activities, train, and inspect the performance of the Packaging and Processing team.
  • Assist where necessary to ensure optimum production levels.
• Fulfillment, Packaging, and Processing activities:
  • Responsible for all bouquet production from start to finish. This includes quality and ensuring that all bouquet orders go out marked ready for the pickers to pick.
  • Gathering required supplies and production summary.
  • Inventory on supplies and completed products.
  • Organizing the cooler and carts by destination/requirements.
  • Prioritizing to ensure that all Wedding orders are cut, filled in full, and delivered to their destination.
  • To ensure the Barn and both Coolers are maintained for cleanliness and required temperatures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring to the position:
Required Qualifications and Experience

• College diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a team lead capacity.
• 1+ years of experience in the floral industry, an asset but not required.

The position:
The Warehouse Associate’s role is to meet and surpass customer expectations by delivering top-quality flowers punctually. If you like being active and on the move, this position suits you. Our team values speed and efficiency, following a “work smarter, not harder” approach. Working hours are generally during the day, but you may need to work some evenings and Saturdays as required. Due to our fresh-cut flower business, completion of tasks can extend beyond normal hours. This isn’t a typical 9-5 job; commitment to finishing daily tasks is essential.

What you will do:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of our operations department, including, but not limited to:
  • picking orders
  • packing orders
  • assisting with quality control
  • shipping & receiving
  • performing general warehouse duties such as sweeping, etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Floral Express is currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Driver for a Full-Time position, working 42.5 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during peak periods.

The position:
A Floral Express driver supports our vision by delivering fresh product to and picking up from customers across Ontario and the USA. Drivers operate around the clock, providing essential services for Floral Express logistics operations.

What you will do:

• Must be willing and able to drive to the US (MANDATORY)
• Must have experience driving a box truck.
• Transport floral materials, supplies, and finished orders to retail and wholesale customers.
• Pick up fresh-cut flowers from local growers and imported products.
• Complete routes in a timely manner.
• Perform daily inspections of vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on the fleet.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with the Logistics Manager.
• Document and log work/rest periods and KMs driven. Report fuel usage to the logistics manager.
• Adhere to the Highway and Traffic Act & associated regulations and the DOT regulations (size, weight, route, parking, and break periods) as well as Company policies.
• Operate trucks and maneuver into loading or unloading positions.
• Promptly report defects, accidents, or violations to the Logistics Manager and/or Director of Operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring to the position:
Required Qualifications and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 + years of driving experience
• 2+ years of experience in a similar industry or setting
• Excellent written and communication skills

• Valid license (G/AZ/DZ).
• Clean Driver’s Abstract.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Current passport for routes into the USA.
• Participate in random but at least annual drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the USA DOT regulations.

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, load add-ons).
• Ability to drive long hours and travel weekly.
• Extensive knowledge of the applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to drive straight truck to semi-sized vehicles, including refrigerated units.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Floral Express seeks a motivated and results-driven Quality Assurance Associate. This position is full-time,
working varying shifts from Monday – Saturday (42.5 hours per week).

The position:
The Quality Assurance Associate’s role is to meet and surpass customer expectations by delivering top-quality
flowers punctually. If you like being active and on the move, this position suits you. Our team values speed and
efficiency, following a “work smarter, not harder” approach. Working hours are generally during the day, but
you may need to work some evenings and Saturdays as required. Due to our fresh-cut flower business,
completion of tasks can extend beyond normal hours. This isn’t a typical 9-5 job; commitment to finishing daily
tasks is essential.

What you will do:

• Product Quality:
  • Confirm quality of the product while receiving local and import
  • Confirm that all product is on location
  • Ensure product is stored properly (tropicals in warm room, bulb stock in cooler, plants in GH)
  • Walk the cooler looking for quality issues, remove bad product from stock
  • Walk through truck order carts looking for quality/quantity concerns
  • deal with products that were sent incorrectly (wrong product, wrong quantity, poor quality)
• Inventory Management:
  • Supervise inventory day to day
  • Keep lily inventory up to date
  • Spot check inventory in cooler daily (before shift)
  • Move plants to GH when required, ensure plants are watered and in proper location
• Administration
  • Review credit report for reoccurring credit issues
  • Update and maintain accurate stock photos
  • Delete old pick orders
  • Check the navigator for any receiving issues
  • Check “not in” items to be prepared for what is coming in later
  • Review new products and educate the rest of the OPS team about new products, stem count, etc.
  • Check weather reports to determine if any extreme heat/cold days require extra packing
• Provide support to other operations (picking, packing etc.)
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring to the position:
Required Qualifications and Experience

• College diploma or equivalent
• 1 + years of experience in the Floral Industry or similar industry or setting is mandatory
• 1 + years of experience in a quality role

Floral Express seeks a motivated and results-driven Executive Assistant. This position is full-time, working our core hours of 8 am to 5 pm (42.5 hours per week).

The position:
The Executive Assistant supports Floral Express’ vision of being the leading floral wholesaler, driving innovation, delivering an exceptional customer experience, fostering growth, and creating a vibrant, supportive workplace where every team member thrives by providing high-level administrative support directly to the President, ensuring their daily operations run smoothly, efficiently and professionally, contributing to the overall success of the company.

This role involves managing emails and complex calendars, handling communications, preparing reports and presentations, assisting with any special projects, and providing HR support. The Executive Assistant will act as a liaison between leaders, ensuring effective and efficient communication.

What you will do:

• Administrative Support: Provide high-level administrative support to the President, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and drafting, reviewing, and sending communications. Reviewing incoming communications (emails, mail, etc.) and prioritizing and distributing to the appropriate person
• Meeting Coordination: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items from meetings. Ensure leadership team members are well-prepared for all meetings.
• Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of special projects. Track project timelines and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Document Management: Organize and maintain files, records, and documents. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Event Planning: Coordinate and manage company events, conferences, and executive off-sites.
• Research and Reporting: Conduct research and compile data to support executive decision-making. Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
• Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Human Resources Support: Assist with human resources activities, including drafting employment agreements, onboarding/offboarding, facilitating surveys, maintaining employee records, and coordinating various HR-related communications.
